I am currently a Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of the West of Scotland. I previously held lecturing posts at Aston University and the University of Ulster. I am Reviews Editor for the journal Ethnopolitics. I have eclectic interests but my main field of research is in the broad area of nations, 'race' and ethnicity. I have edited (or co-edited) three collections on the peace process in Northern Ireland, I have written critiques of conflict-related trauma policy and practice, I have written on policy on integration of ethnic minorities, and I have written on visual representations of children. I occasionally write reviews of art exhibitions for the online site CultureWars.
